For the last two years, the Seattle Seahawks have been the best team in the NFL. They won the Super Bowl in the 2013 season, and they came within one play of winning it all last year. Keeping up a high level of play in the NFL these days can be extremely difficult. However, Seattle certainly has the individual talent to stay relevant in 2015. The question is, will they be able to return to the Super Bowl and win another title?
The biggest acquisition for Seattle after the regular season comes in the form of Jimmy Graham. The tight end really made a name for himself as one of the best players in fantasy football cash leagues at his position ever. He worked very well in New Orleans, and he should get the ball plenty in Seattle as well. If the Seahawks have any trouble scoring in the red zone, they now have a pretty safe option to throw the ball to.
Starting quarterback Russell Wilson came to terms with the team late this summer for new deal that will be worth over $20 million dollars per season. That is a lot of money to spend on someone, but he has shown that he is worth investing in. It is not going to cause too much of an issue this year, but down the road Seattle won't be able to retain all of their best players on offense and defense.
Green Bay looks to be the biggest competitor in the NFC this year, but Seattle needs to know that they do have a huge target on their back. Every single team will be going for them this year, so it will be interesting to see how they handle the pressure. They did a pretty good job last year, so they do have some experience. The added pressure on Wilson in particular could be one of the more unique storylines in the league this year.
With the best defense in the NFL and as improved offense, Seattle has as good of a chance as anyone to make it back to the Super Bowl. It seemed like they had it in control last year before some questionable play calling and of the game. All they can do now is try to use their experience as an advantage against the rest of the league.
